TTTech has released a new version of its Edge IP Solution product, now supporting new Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) mechanisms. Devices using this product have successfully completed interoperability tests in the renowned Industrial Internet Consortium TSN testbed.
After being deeply involved in the specification of the IEEE TSN standards, TTTech is now leading the way in bringing TSN products to market. Edge IP Solution provides TSN switched endpoint functionality for FPGA based devices. Designed for quick and easy FPGA integration, the product is ideal for innovative switch, PLC or IPC vendors.
Version 1.1 of Edge IP Solution includes an IP core that now supports the IEEE 802.1Qbv, IEEE 802.1AS, IEEE 802.1Qcc and IEEE 802.1Qbu standards. The package also provides all of the requisite Linux-based software drivers and stacks. The supported TSN mechanisms enable time-synchronization across devices in the network and allow for scheduled forwarding of messages or preemption of large packets at egress.
To get started with Edge IP Solution simply request a free evaluation license from product@tttech.com. There is also a companion reference design available for the Intel Cyclone V FPGA on NovTech’s NetLeap evaluation board. Full licenses for Edge IP Solution can be purchased from TTTech either via an up-front payment or royalties. TTTech sales staff will be available to discuss the Edge IP Solution and other products on booth 6-460 at the SPS-IPC Drives fair in Nuremberg from November 28-30, 2017.
